Concept
The Connectere Chapel gets its name from Latin, meaning ‘to connect.’ The name is inspired by the appropriation of human spirituality, detached from religions. It begins with the idea that every human being is granted with spirituality, even those who distance themselves from religious practices. This explains the absence of elements such as altars and crucifixes. Thus, instead of developing a traditional chapel for this exercise, the project creates a space for individual contemplation.
The design of the chapel integrates with the surrounding environment, emphasizing its privileged location amidst greenery. To achieve this, a permeable element shaped the initial forms of the Connectere Chapel.
